Hosted by the Republic of Turkey Diyarbakır Governorship, with the partnership of TÜRSAB Fuarcılık Hizmetleri Tic. A.Ş. and Diyarbakır Fuarcılık Ticaret ve A.Ş., the press launch of the 1st Mesopotamia Tourism and Gastronomy Fair, which will be held at Diyarbakır Mesopotamia International Fair and Congress Center on 24-27 March 2022, took place on 9 October 2021 at the Diyarbakır City Museum (Cemil Paşa Mansion) with great participation.

Governor of Diyarbakır Münir Karaloğlu, Deputy Governor of Şanlıurfa Yeliz Yıldızhan, Chairman of the Executive Board of TÜRSAB Firuz B. Bağlıkaya and Members of the Executive Board, President of Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce of Industry Mehmet Kaya and Members of the Executive Board, the Ambassador İbrahim Mete Yağlı, President of Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) Regional Development Administration, President of Karacadağ Development Agency Dr. Hasan Maral and many press members have participated in the meeting.

In the meeting, the new opportunities that will arise in the region and in tourism sector were assessed along with the fair which will be held to promote Mesopotamia, presenting unique historical and cultural experience, in the national and international areas.
